Andel Plastics celebrates it's 50th year in business.
We all know how tough business is at the moment and of the many ups and downs of recessions and the Covid Pandemic over the last five decades. It is therefore with great pride that Andel celebrates it's 50 year in business. Andel was founded by Barrie Flowers, who had rised to Toolroom manager at Barkley Plastics and was supported by the owners' there when he branched off on his own. It is with much sadness that we all learnt that Barkleys had gone into administration earlier this month, a reminder of how long established businesses can still falter.
However, Helena and Paul the current Directors are keen to share that they have marked the 50th year with new investment, including their first new all electric machine from Arburg.
"Having won some new contracts in the last few months, capacity was starting to run a little tight despite 24 hour production on this size machine, so we knew it was the right time for investment and felt it the right time to opt for an all electric machine. " We also welcome three additional members of staff this month, so we are planning on building for the next 50 years. "
Helena added that she would personally like to thank everyone who works and has done for Andel over the years to make this achievement possible.
